I find it very amazing to see how little kids can differentiate between grown-ups or adults and other kids and with how much fun they learn from older kids.

Mom’s Challenge: Fear of the mean vacuum cleaner

by on October 31st 2012 Tags: ,

Our regular cleaning procedure has become a nightmare recently since my sweetheart does no longer sleep peacefully with the noise of the vacuum like she used to do but starts to cry her head off beeing so afraid of the vacuum cleaner.

Hence, if I do not want to continue vacuuming an about 150 qm apartment with a weaping baby on my arm and the vacuum in the other hand risking a lumbago in my back, I needed to come up with a creative solution

Sunday inspiration: Vintage Love – old doll’s pram

by on October 7th 2012 Tags: , ,

Often times it’s the brand new stuff we get or we buy for ourselves which bring so much joy.

Yet from time to time it’s the old treasures such as the old doll’s pram from Eve which we found in the attick that brings back so many good and cherished memories from our own childhood and many hours as doll’s mommies. It gets even lovelier when your own child is playing the entire afternoon with that same doll’s pram like you did about 30 years ago as if the pram was brand new.

Funny to see that some things never change and doll’s mommies care today the same like we did 30 years ago.

One of the ultimate moodlifter, an ideal gift for a babyshower or a soon-to-be-mom in the endphase of pregnancy, is Sloane Tanen’s book HATCHED – the big push from pregnancy to motherhood.

With cute little yellow toy chicks she re-enacts funny everyday situations of an expecting mother which are killingly funny.
